Age Estimation to Support Industry in Customer Segmentation and Regulatory Compliance

As Singapore’s main authority on personal data protection, the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) is calling for fresh proposals on privacy-friendly and innovative age estimation solutions that go beyond the mainstream solutions available in the market. 


What We Are Looking For

We are looking for prototyping of privacy preserving age estimation solutions that uses types of data other than the mainstream facial analysis solutions available in the market. Examples of such data types could include online user activities data and voice data.

Problem Solvers must be prepared to work with IMDA/PDPC, organisations and end-users to identify and address any potential concerns that may arise. The proposal should include details on the proposed age estimation methodology, mock-ups, privacy preserving considerations, prototype development timeline and a short write-up regarding the standalone prototype implementation.

Problem Solvers should be prepared to offer the developed prototype as a free download or access with a simple user guide, for a duration of up to 1 year through the IMDA/PDPC website or such platform specified by IMDA/PDPC.
