About Challenge
LTA’s National Electric Vehicle Centre (NEVC) has recently awarded a tender to five tenderers for the deployment of electric vehicle (EV) charging points covering nearly 2,000 HDB car parks across Singapore. Under this tender, at least 12,000 EV charging points will be installed across all HDB carparks by the end of 2025, realising LTA’s target of making every HDB town EV-ready.In order to support LTA's EV charger deployment plans, extensive and costly electrical grid infrastructure upgrades at downstream substations (SS) and consumer switchrooms (CSR) at HDB carparks are required.
LTA is looking to explore alternative and innovative ways to deploy some EV chargers ahead of future electrical infrastructure upgrades, particularly at local consumer switchrooms with no spare capacity.
