How might we harness gamification and/or cognitive load analysis tools to enhance training?
Commercial training simulators generally offer standardised training packages that may not incorporate gamification elements or cognitive load analysis to engage trainees in training regimes. We seek solutions that incorporate gamification elements and/or non-invasive cognitive load analysis to enhance training for individuals.
What We Are Looking For
- Solutions that provide gamification software modules and/or cognitive load analysis tools that can be incorporated into existing training simulators.
- Solutions integrated with non-invasive physiological sensors to measure multi-modal data, such as human physiological inputs (e.g. trainees’ fatigue levels, attention levels and cognitive loads) and assess training outcomes.
Complete training simulators that include elements of gamification and/or cognitive load analysis tools described as above are welcome.

How do we generate reference data to assess and compare deepfake detection tools?
Commercial tools to detect manipulated images and videos would have been trained against their own datasets or optimized for particular AI-generation techniques. We are looking for ways to generate suitable reference data to benchmark these detection tools.
What We Are Looking For
- A solution that can ideally generate reference data via methods that commercial tools are generally not known to be effective against.

How do we quickly and effectively detect fake videos?
The number of AI-powered tools capable of manipulating or generating fake videos has increased exponentially over the last few years. We need to be able to reliably detect and debunk fake videos.
What We Are Looking For
- Tools to detect fake videos accurately and quickly
You should explain how your solution works and data it was trained on. Where applicable, please submit a demonstration video of your solution.

How might we improve ship hull maintenance for operations in tropical waters?
Ship hulls under warm tropical waters are subject to fouling and corrosion, which can compromise the ship’s structural integrity and pose safety risks.
Current methods of managing ship hull deterioration of ship hulls are labour intensive, time-consuming, and pose safety risks to personnel. Additionally, a manual approach may not provide a complete picture of the ship hull condition.
What We Are Looking For
- Reduce manual efforts for ship hull maintenance
- Support predictive maintenance and condition-based maintenance
- Do not adversely affect the ship’s structural integrity and paint surfaces
- Provide sound assessment and downtime for hull repair works
- May generate hull thickness map to assess the ship’s lifespan
You may note that we will provide relevant vessel(s) for up to two weeks for the evaluation trial.

How might we reliably and continuously monitor underwater infrastructure such as power cables and gas pipelines to detect issues early?
Regular maintenance is required to identify issues early and prevent disruptions from damaged power cables and gas pipelines.
What We Are Looking For
- Passive, low power consumption solutions that can provide pervasive and continuous monitoring of power cables and gas pipes
- Solutions that require low cost and manual efforts to implement, operate and maintain

We are looking for novel payloads that could be integrated onto small platforms like commercial drones to improve work efficiencies
Small platforms such as commercial drones are commonly integrated with sensors such as electro-optics cameras, or communication payloads to provide sensing capabilities for operators.
What We Are Looking For
- Novel payloads that could be integrated onto small platforms like commercial drones to perform support operations and improve work efficiencies (e.g. enhancing operator safety).

How might we enable robots to navigate autonomously and/or do mapping in Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)-denied environment for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) missions?
HADR missions may require robots to navigate and avoid collision, and/or do mapping in GNSS-denied, space constraint environment.
What We Are Looking For
- Solutions capable of performing autonomous indoor navigation or mapping (and desirably exploration) on:
- Small unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), with autonomy payload
- Small drones, with width
- Cost-effective solutions with small size, weight and power
